Atlas Mountain Trek

Two members of our team spent 2 days trekking the Atlas Mountains in Morocco for three chosen charities.

Dave Foley, our demolition contracts manager and Declan Kelly, our project manager, trekked more than 2,000 kilometres across Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.

Both 55 years old, they admit they’re not serious hikers, usually restricting themselves to day hikes followed by a refreshing alcoholic beverage! When asked how they came up with the idea Dave said: “On a hike we did last summer a young lady told us about her experience when she did this the previous summer and that basically had us hooked. We just thought a little bit of extra pressure to succeed and raise a few quid for good causes has got to be a good thing.”

All of the money both Dave and Declan have raised will be split equally three ways between the St. Luke’s Hospice in Basildon (Dave’s Charity), Cancer Research (Declan’s Charity) and 21 Together, our Community Foundations charity, which both Dave and Declan kindly wished to contribute towards.
