Removing the existing structure was challenging as the building abutted three neighbouring properties which remained fully occupied. To facilitate use of the high-reach excavator at the rear of the building, 1,000 temporary props were installed in the double-height basement to support the slab. As the building was demolished temporary weatherproofing was installed to the 3 party walls. Voluntary Section 60 working was implemented to minimise disturbance during our works. Following successful completion, O'Keefe were awarded the following on groundworks package.
